Key Staff

The Camp Aquehonga Leadership Team is very excited about the Camp Aquehonga Season. It is our goal to continue on the strong foundation built in previous years. We have again assembled the finest staff around – Scouts and Scouters committed to providing a quality experience.

[Prior to July 1st, all key staff members are available via email. Afterwards, each can be reached during the summer camp season at the Camp Office: (845)-252-2023.]

Sal Poidomani, Camp Director

Sal returns to the Ten Mile River after a six year absence. Sal's tenure as a TMR staff member began in 1964 in the Headquarters Trading Post. He has served the reservation in several staff capacities since then, most notably as the director of Family Camp for 20 consecutive summers. An Eagle Scout, Vigil Honor Member of the Order of the Arrow, Woodbadge, Silver Beaver, and Scoutmasters Award of Merit recipient, Sal brings a good Scouting experience to aid him in his new venture as Director of Camp Aquehonga. Sal is glad to be "home," and looking forward to serving the Scouts and leaders who will stay at Camp Aquehonga this summer.

Anthony Zalak, Program Director
azalak@tenmileriver.org

Anthony returns in 2010 for his fifth summer as Program Director. With seven successful seasons behind him as a Camp Commissioner, Director of the New Camper Program, and as Program Director, he is extremely familiar with the Scouts and Scouters who attend the camp, as well the camp's overall operation. An Eagle Scout and OA Vigil Honor Member, Anthony uses his scouting experience to ensure that each and every scout will have the best program that TMR and Aquehonga have to offer.
