C.O.P.E. Course - High Elements
Berma Bridge |
One of the more popular elements on the C.O.P.E.
course, the Berma Bridge is like your Troop's monkey bridge only
suspended 35 to 40 feet in the air.
Walenda Walk |
Combining the incline log and two-line traverse,
this element challenges the participants sense of balance to the
highest degree.
Vertical Playpen |
The most physically demanding element on the course,
the Vertical Playpen tests participants ability to climb over 35
feet using a multitude of items include a knotted rope, a "caterpillar"(a
4 X 4 with climbing staples) and other challenging elements.
Giant's Ladder |
This two person event speaks for itself. Climbing
to the top of our Climbing Tower on a ladder fit for a giant. Two
participants must help each other to scale the oversized rungs.
Caving Ladder |
This deceivingly simple element can be quite a challenge.
Ascend the Caving Ladder to make your way to the Berma Bridge or
Zip-Line platform.
Zip-Line |
Flying through air with the greatest of ease is the
sense participants get as the slide over 200 feet from the Zip-Line
tower to the landing platform right outside the Nature
Lodge.
C.O.P.E. Course - Low Elements
Low C.O.P.E. Elements |
Eleven new low elements
were added to the C.O.P.E. area for in 2003. Our Low C.O.P.E. Course
now includes the following 14 elements: |
-
The Patrol Wall
-
Meat Grinder
-
Mohawk Walk

The Porthole
-
Nitro Crossing
-
Passover Beam
- Tricky Triangle
- Dragon's Finger

This is an outstanding
opportunity to help develop the patrol method. Initiative games,
trust events, and low elements are designed to develop teamwork,
trust, leadership skills, problem solving, and building self-esteem.
These elements are designed to handle groups of up to fifteen people.
Three groups can be accommodated per session. |
