From NYC & Points South:
Travel to and take the upper level of the George Washington Bridge. Take
your first exit on your right on the New Jersey side. This will be the
Palisades Parkway. Travel north for 35 miles. Bear to your left and take
the exit marked Route 6. Travel half-way round the traffic circle and
continue on Route 6 for six miles unto Route 17 West. Travel on Route
17 for 44 miles to exit 104 (Monticello Raceway). Travel on 17B for about
6.7 miles into White Lake and blinking light. At 0.7 miles beyond the
blinker, make a left hand turn on Route 55 West. Follow Route 55 for about
4 miles to the Ten Mile River Camp cut-off on the right hand side (County
Route 26). Follow the TMR signs to the desired camp.
Via New York State Thruway:
Take the Triboro Bridge onto Major Deegan Expressway (I-87 North)
to New York State Thruway over the Tappan Zee Bridge. Exit #16 onto Route
17 and follow the directions above.
From CT & Points East:
Take I-84 West to Route 17 West, and follow the directions above.
From NJ, near Route 17:
Travel up Route 17 all the way to Woodbury Common. Pick up 17 West and
follow the directions above.
From NJ, near Route I-287:
Travel north to I-87. Travel on I-87 to the Harriman and Woodbury Common
exit (17 West). Pick up Route 17 West and follow the directions above.
From NJ, near Garden State Parkway:
Travel on the Garden State Parkway to I-87, taking it west to the exit
marked Harriman and Woodbury Common. At that exit, pick up Route 17 West
and follow the directions above.
From Western NJ/PA & Points West:
If near either 206 or 23, travel north to Port Jervis. At Port Jervis,
pick up 97 going northwest. Travel on 97 to 21 (just past Barryville).
Take 21 to Yulan and pick up 22 which runs into 23. Travel on 23 to County
Road 26 (you will see a large Ten Mile River Scout Reservation sign on
the right). Follow the TMR signs to the desired camp.
By Bus:
You may travel by commercial bus to TMR. You must catch the Short
Line Buses from the Port Authority Terminal at 42nd Street in New York
City. Take the Short Line Bus to Monticello. You must then make your own
arrangements to get from Monticello to TMR (about 15 miles).
