Like most Scout Camps, Ten Mile River would not be able to operate without the extensive support it receives from countless volunteers. This support ranges from physical labor to maintain and build new facilities, to monetary donations that keep the program up and running.

Perhaps you attended TMR as a camper, or worked on staff at one of the camps. Or, maybe you are a supporter of Scouting who currently lives or works in the New York area. Whatever your affiliation or interest in the program, your assistance is certainly welcome. If you are interested in finding out more about how you can volunteer to help TMR, please contact us at 845-252-2080.

The TMR Wilderness Engineering Society is a group of dedicated volunteers who regularly donate their time and talent in the weeks leading up to the camping season, to ensure that Ten Mile River is equipped with the best possible facilities and programs for our Scouts. The group typically consists of adult unit leaders from troops that either presently camp at TMR, or have done so in the past, members from the 5 Order of the Arrow Lodges in NYC, current and former TMR Staff Members, and other interested volunteers.

To find out when the group is planning to work this season, download the form below. We will be working on summer camp preparation including setting up campsites, staining, re-roofing lean-tos, repairing cabins, program areas and much more. Volunteers arrive Saturday morning at 7:30 a.m. to a breakfast at the Keowa Dinning Hall. Lunch will be served at the work sites. After a hard day of work, everyone joins together for a steak & chicken BBQ.

Are you interested in being a part of this group, and helping to add to the splendor that is TMR? We hope you are. To let us know that you intend to join us for these work days, just download, complete, and return the form below. We look forward to seeing you at TMR!
