very excited about the 2009 Camp Keowa Season. All members of the Key Staff are comitted to making your experience at Keowa the best ever.

Cathy Rihl, Camp

Cathy Rihl will serve as the Keowa Camp Director in 2009. Serving on TMR staff for over 14 years, in such roles as Ranachqua Program Director, Camp Director, and TMR Assistant Reservation Director, Cathy is no stranger to the camp and its operation. She is excited to be directing mighty Camp Keowa and its dynamic staff in delivering the Scout Promise. During the off-season, Cathy works for the Valley Central school district, is the Committee Chairman of Troop 33, and serves as the district advancement chairman for Heritage District. She will use her scouting experience to ensure successful camp operation and the delivery of Grade-A customer service.

Peter Petrone, Assistant Camp

Peter Petrone will be serving as the Keowa Assistant Camp Director for 2009. He grew up attending Ten Mile River and working at summer camps. In 2000 he served as Aquehonga's Aquatics Director. Peter is an Eagle Scout and Vigil Honor Member. Past volunteer scouting positions have included: Camp Master at Pouch Camp, Assistant Scoutmaster, Lodge Chief for Aquehongian Lodge and a member of the Staten Island Camping Committee where he promoted Ten Mile River Camps to Boy Scout Troops. Peter is excited to be part of the Keowa Staff this summer. He brings a fresh approach this summer in regards to customer service and support that can only be expected at Camp Keowa. His goal is to ensure that scouts have a safe, fun-filled experience at Keowa.

John Restrepo is proud to be serving as the Keowa Program Director in 2009. With seven consecutive summers behind him as an ecology staff person, Assistant Program Director, and Senior Program Commissioner, he is extremely familiar with the Scouts and Scouters who attend the camp, as well the camp's overall operation. This summer, John's goal is to ensure the delivery of a more than stellar program for the many Keowa campers. An Eagle Scout, and an Assistant Scoutmaster in Troop 253 in Flushing, Queens, John will use his scouting background to provide an unforgettable experience for each one of the campers that walks through the Keowa gates.

Lou
Farragher, Ranger

This is Lou's third summer as the Camp Keowa Ranger. As Ranger of Camp Keowa, Lou works closely with the Camp
Leadership and Services Staff to provide some of the best facilities
available at Ten Mile River. Lou is a master electrician, carpenter,
mechanic, and forester. He is married and has two beautiful
children.
