Scout Skills
The Keowa Scout Skills program,
up the trail from the Protestant Chapel, offers merit badges at the
heart of Scouting.
The area offers five merit badges as well as the Fireman Chip and the
Totin Chit for new Scouts.
The following Merit Badges are offered at Scouting Skills:
In the summer of 2006, parts of New York City were without power and
people were very upset. 19 Scouts and 4 Staff members enjoyed a night
in the woods without any electricity and not one complaint.
Congratulations to all the Scouts who earned the Wilderness Survival
Merit Badge. If
we have another power outage and not only will our scouts be prepared
but you will probably
see them helping others.
