Welcome to Camp Ranachqua
2014 is primed to be another remarkable summer for the Scouts and leaders of Camp Ranachqua. As they always have, the staff will be delivering a traditional summer camp experience while continuing to incorporate new opportunities for fun and adventure into our outdoor program.
An experienced and professional staff continues to be Camp Ranachqua's backbone. Building upon an existing curriculum and carrying the torch of exemplary past staffs, the 2014 staff is not only ready to provide an educational and fun experience for all Scouts; they are ready to ensure that all participants are safe during their stay.
Although our program areas are chiefly located on the southern side of Lake Nianque, our units have the opportunity to participate in the many programs offered all across the beautiful 12,000-acre Ten Mile River reservation. Our high adventure opportunities include rafting on the Delaware River, horseback riding, climbing and rappelling off the legendary Indian Cliffs, high and low COPE, and TMR'S all terrain vehicle course. Additionally, Scouts may also tour the Ten Mile River Scout Museum located at reservation headquarters.
With so many opportunities available for advancement and personal growth, thoughtful planning will go a long way toward ensuring your troop is able to take the most away from their time at Ranachqua. On this site you will find advancement policies, a breakdown of merit badges, and program schedules to assist you in preparing your troop for camp. Please continue to check the
