Every year, all scouts are welcome to cook their own food at the Cooking Mega Event. This year will be no different! The Cooking Mega Event is an outstanding event that teachers both leaders and scouts unique and creative ways to make delicious food in the campsite. Dutch ovens, reflector ovens, paper ovens, tripods, and foil are just some of the techniques that will be used to make cookies, pies, chickens, stews, pizzas, and even a giant turkey. The Cooking Mega Event will be held on Wednesday afternoon, giving the scouts and leaders a chance to cook their own dinner with techniques they may never have imagined possible. It has been totally revamped and should be an exciting event. The Cooking Mega Event will begin promptly begin at 4:00 p.m., following Siesta. Depending on your level of involvement, arrival times may vary.

This event is very exciting but very labor intensive. Therefore, we strongly encourage leaders to let involved to help split wood, monitor fires, and assist at each of the different cooking stations.

Totin' Chip and Fire m'n Chit will be offered upon request.
