Leaders Meeting
On Sunday afternoon there will be a Leaders Meeting in the Dining Hall. At least one Leader from each unit should attend. Not only is it an opporuntity to meet some of the Staff, but the Camp Director will outline several key activities and all emergency procedures. It is essential that each unit have a representative at this meeting.

Sunday Night BBQ
Each Sunday night Camp Ranachqua has the infamous chicken BBQ. Parents are welcome to join us at the BBQ, all we ask is that you call ahead and let us know how many extra people we will be feeding. The cost is $5/adult and $2/child. Call 845-252-2038 or 2039 to make your reservations!

Round-Robin
After the BBq on Sunday night, Troops will have an opportunity to visit each of the program areas at camp and learn a little about what badges are offered and at what times, as well as any special activities that may be going on during the week at that particular area. This also give the Scout (and Leader!) an opportunity to learn where each program area is located.

Sunday Night Campfire
The Camp Ranachqua Staff opens every week with a hilariously funny campfire at our Council Ring. Parents are welcome to attend the campfire if they so choose.

FCA Campfire
On Monday night a special campfire just for First Year Campers has been developed. We encourage all FCA and First Year Scouts to attend!

Youth Protection
Youth Protection will be offered Monday night after Vespers for any leaders needing certification or recertification. Remember, Youth Protection training cards are good for three years. All leaders at camp must have taken this training in the past three years, or they must attend this class.

Safety Afloat
Safety Afloat is an optional certification offered by the Waterfront Staff. It will help familiarize leaders with proper waterfront rules and guidelines to follow when planning and executing a water related activity with their troop. Please see the Program Director or the Waterfront Director for the time and date of training

Climb On Safely
Climb On Safely is another optional certification provided at Camp Ranachqua. Any leaders interested in learning the basics of climbing safety are encouraged to attend this training. Please see the Program Director or the Climbing Director for details.

Cooking Mega-Event
Wednesday afternoon is home to one of Camp Ranachqua's most esteemed events - the Cooking Mega-Event. Scouts learn a wide array of cooking techniques and methods to take back to their Troop, all while enjoy excellent food. Ask the Scout Skills Director for more information.

Wednesday Night Free-Time
Wednesday night is left open for the Troops to plan any of their own activities. This is an ideal time for Troop campfires, games, or skill presentations.

Friday Night Fun
There is much in store for Friday evenings. First is the hamburger and hot dog BBQ. Like the Sunday Night BBQ, parents are welcome to attend this BBQ. $5/adult and $2/child. After the BBQ is the Closing Campfire, where any awards earned during the week are presented. We close the campfire with our traditional flag retirement ceremony.
