One of the many bodies of water on the reservation, Trout Pond is home to a leanto site. Tucked away, just off of Crystal Lake Road, the site contains 6 leantos nestled around the shore of the pond in a large, open clearing. The site is equipped with reflector stoves in front of the leantos, and the famous TMR Red Dot Trail, which connects the entire reservation, passes by the Trout Pond site, making it an excellent place to stop while hiking along the trail. Trout Pond is known as a great location for fishing.

Restroom Type: Latrine Vehicles can be parked in the parking area along Crystal Lake Road; campsite is just a short walk in. Note: All Ten Mile River facilities are completely closed to visitors during the Sullivan County Hunting Season each year. Typically, this season spans the end of November and the beginning of December. If you are interested in visiting TMR during this time period, call the reservations hotline to ensure that the weekend when you would like to come is not during hunting season.
